Partnerships Are Powerful!

Our Partners Established Trust before Providing Service

Our Partners are powerful and paramount on our journey! Partners are people engaged "together" in the same activity. In the relatively short span of 5 or 6 years, with the help of our partners we have made tremendous strides on our legacy journey. We are sure that we would not have accomplished this without the support, encouragement and assistance of our many partners. Nothing is accomplished in a silo! Each of our partners have contributed in a very unique way.

First, the Sustainable Forestry & Land Retention Project, in conjunction with the US Endowment for Forestry and Communities has been the nucleus and "jumping off point" for so much of our journey. The project's value to us is immeasurable. It is no accident that they are in the center of our Fourtee Acres sign. The Natural Capital Investment Fund (NCIF) provided a grant that allowed us to meet with a financial planner, which led to the formation of our LLC. The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission provided a wildlife management plan that is allowing us to manage and enjoy the wildlife resources on our farm. The North Carolina Forest Service has been with us every step of the way, providing valuable technical and "hands on" resources to make this "TREE FARM" possible. USDA/FSA has been a partner for a very long time, dating back to my Grandpa Tussie's time. The American Tree Farm System and Stewardship Forest Programs have helped us to realize the "BIG PICTURE" of sustainability and forest management for the future.

There are other players that have assisted along the way, including our extended family and friends. We value each of you. They have truly exemplified "establishing trust before providing service"

Collectively our partners have helped set our family on a path of legacy, sustainability and wealth building and we are: A Family Farm and Forest for the Future"
